Have you ever felt that sinking feeling in the pit of your stomach, that this is the moment when it’s all going to come down crashing around you?

It might have been during that presentation at school. Or, before that all-important meeting with a potential investor…perhaps maybe even before you propose to the person of your dreams.

Bottom line: these are moments when you might just think enough is enough and draw back, retreat into a shell, and never take that all-important step. All from the fear that the result of the action would not be as per your expectations.

Believe me, I’ve been there. 

Yeah, today I’ve reached the level where people call me a success…but that never happened overnight. In fact, it took thousands of tireless nights (and days), working through gritted teeth, ignoring the naysayers, to get where I’ve come today. The untold horror that never gets told.

And in the course of this journey, if there’s one thing I’ve learned it’s this: there’s nothing more limiting to your success than the idea that you’ll fail. Or rather, that you are a failure, simply because you’re not being able to measure up to the expectations that the world is throwing at you.

A Life Less Ordinary

I wasn’t born with a silver spoon (or any kind of spoon for that matter); my family came from humble beginnings and we had to face many adversities after we moved to the US. 

When I started my first business as a teen, I knew that being different is something I’ll always cherish. In fact, I wanted to be different, not fall into the usual rut, and take a path less trodden.

Guess that path is what has led me to where I am today.

But was it a straight path? Definitely not, as I too felt the pangs and tugs of insecurity. Fear of failure is present in every human being, and I have experienced it as well. 

The only difference is that I didn’t let it stop me. Instead, I took that fear and turned it into energy, an impatience to succeed that pushed me to become a serial entrepreneur. I taught myself not to settle, but to push my limits and explore beyond the bounds of comfort.

However, I can never say I did that all alone.

I was blessed to have a family that has stood by me through my trials and adventures. A family which has believed in me. But I realize not everyone has the good fortune to find help and hope right at home. 

When I discovered that the blogs I’d written over the previous ten years were still driving significant traffic to belimitless.com, I decided to resume writing after a three-year hiatus in the hopes of filling this void. I’ll be honest, I was quite surprised that you guys actually like reading my stuff?!

So, here, I’ll share with you my thoughts, experiences, and innermost beliefs, so that you can find the courage to make your life as successful as you want it to be. I say, as successful as you want it to be because I do not believe that success is a definition set in stone.

You want to be an aspiring entrepreneur? Do you need help with that term sheet? Or, perhaps you want to build the next Apple? No matter what your dreams are, I bet it’s different from the next person in the room.

And honestly, that’s exactly how it should be.

Because today we live in a world where everyone expects you to “start-up” and reach “unicorn” status in a year. But that’s not the only way to be successful. You can work through the usual 9-to-5 and still be a success. Your dream is your dream if it makes YOU happy. Because, at the end of the day, Happiness is the ultimate DREAM.

Only if you allow yourself to not fail. And that strength comes from hope, and wherever you find that hope, you find your family, your tribe. That’s what I hope to provide you with when you come over to this blog.
