The Start
[Gurbaksh Singh Chahal]
Don’t believe the world “owes you a living.” Decide to be happy. Don’t hold grudges.
Don’t fear change. Always believe in yourself. Always give back.
The life that Gurbaksh Chahal was born into was, in fact, very different from the life he is blessed to live now.
He was born July 17, 1982, in the small community village of Tarn Taran, India. At 4 years of age, his parents made the brave decision to move Gurbaksh and his two siblings to San Jose, California, to start a better life for him and his family.
Growing up wasn’t easy. Chahal’s experience of childhood education was poisoned by the bullying and racism he experienced from kindergarten, through to high school.
During a time when he was living through the horrors of emotional and physical racial abuse at school, it was his family, in particular, his Grandmother who provided loving support and taught him to stay strong, embrace who he was, and follow his dreams.
These lessons continue to guide Gurbaksh through his life today.

Chahal and his team are transforming the way manufacturing and technology co-exist. They have created an end-to-end process that gives buyers from across the globe the opportunity to access and distribute highly sought-after commodities at rapid speed and scale.

Whilst this is still a relatively new start-up, Medriva has already gone on to achieve phenomenal things. When the WHO announced a 2.2 billion global syringe shortage in 2020, Medriva set to work using ProcureNet’s technology to make up for the huge shortfall.
By February 2022, Medriva had successfully manufactured and distributed enough AD syringes to PAHO, UNICEF, and the WHO to enable 1 billion people across the world to become vaccinated against COVID-19.
